Family Date Night

Before I get to the post at hand, thank you to all our friends and family that have prayed for the Jones family and given their love and support. Words can not express how grateful we are and how much it has lifted us up through this hard time. Our boys have provided probably the best therapy of all. They constantly keep us smiling and laughing and force you to keep marching forward. Brad, staying true to his positive self, has been coping so well and is staying positive and strong because he knows its how his dad would want him to carry forward. Brad is always teaching me life lessons and how he's handled such a hard time has been another huge lesson for me.

So, tonight was what I have affectionately labeled "Family Date Night". I was a big fan. I think a new tradition has been made. Several months ago Brad and I had a rare date night. We ended up eating at an Italian place at an area in Allen called Watters Creek. After dinner we walked around the outdoor shops, listened to a live band and smiled at the cutie patooties running a muck and enjoyed some beers on a patio. It was a perfect date night and such an awesome area. I came up with the idea to kick start my upcoming birthday week to take the boys back to that area for a family date night. We listened to the band, boys danced and ran a muck, ate at a kick butt pizza place (thanks to our friends Kim and Tanner for the awesome rec!) and then let them run a muck some more. It was the perfect evening.
We had to wait for a table for a bit at the restaurant and Blake was hungry and in no mood to be photographed. He gets moody when hungry just like his momma! Here is our failed attempt at a family pic...

More moodiness
The boys riding the duckies. What? That's normal.

And here's what happens when you feed two littles lots and lots of yummy pizza...
